Parent Teacher Conferences

We hope to see all parents at conferences this week.  Please note the details below:

Parent conference times are scheduled for Wednesday, November 21 from 11:45 to 2:30 and Thursday, November 22 from 7:15 to 2:30.

One of our main goals as a school is to foster collaboration among students, teachers and parents.  We encourage all parents to attend conferences, to meet with your child’s teachers and gain valuable feedback about their progress in each course.  We also encourage students to attend conferences with their parents.

The teachers will take a staggered lunch on Thursday so that there are teachers available for conferences throughout the day.  Please respect the lunch break for teachers. For many of them, this will be their only break in a day of many conferences.

11:30 – 12:15        Lunch Break for English, Science, PE, World Languages, Arabic and  Religion teachers

12:15 – 1:00          Lunch Break for Math, History, IT and Fine Arts teachers

Conferences will follow the same procedures as in previous years:

  • All High School conferences will take place in the auditorium.
  • Appointments are not necessary.
  • If some teachers have line-ups, parents can choose to see those who are less busy or wait until the line decreases.

There are some things you should consider before joining us for conferences:

  • 1st  Quarter reports will be sent home with your child by Tuesday, November 20.
  • Please review the report with your child.
  • Please ensure that you prioritize your conferences by speaking with the teachers of the subjects where there are troublesome issues.
  • We ask that you limit your conferences to 10 minutes per teacher, and focus on developing strategies that will help your child to understand the content and skills required in each course.
