A Message from Our Superintendent

1 Sep

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to the 2014-15 academic year.  It seems like only yesterday that the school was filled with the excitement of summer approaching.   I hope that your summer holiday was full of joy, fun, and laughter.

Our passionate and dedicated teachers have spent the last week preparing for your child’s next step in education.  All of us here at ASK are looking forward to a new year of learning, both socially and academically.

There are a few changes in policy that I want to ensure all of you are aware of:

  1. New Uniforms: We now have a uniform that all students will wear.   However, students may wear their own blue pants that meet the ASK dress code until January.
  2. Arrival and Departure from School: Regular attendance is essential for student learning.  Therefore, any student arriving after 7:45 AM will not be allowed on campus without a parent.  If your child (for some reason) is arriving after 7:45, it is necessary for you to accompany them to the office.

Additionally, students who need to leave the school before the 2pm dismissal time must have a parent come to the school in order to sign them out.

In closing, I am confident that you understand the necessity of having your child in attendance at school on a consistent basis for their overall growth and development.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Mrs. Rebecca Ness
Superintendent
