NESAC Swim Tournament

The ASK Girls JV swim team finished 2nd in the first NESAC swim meet in Doha, Qatar last weekend. JV Boys and the varsity teams (boys and girls) placed 3rd. Great performance for the senior Abdulatif Dashti, who was the fastest swimmer and won gold medals on the 50m Butterfly and the 200m Freestyle. He won silver on the 50m Backstroke, 100m Backstroke and 200 IM and bronze on the 400m Free. Kayla Bose, varsity, won silver on the 100m Breaststroke and bronze on the 50m Breaststroke, Donia Dorgam (varsity) won Bronze on the 50m Backstroke.

JV swimmer Yvette Chavez brought home 2 silver medals (50 m Fly and 200m Free) and a Bronze in the 100m Freestyle. Rachel Lwin placed 3rd on the 50m Fly and Katia Yazji on the 400m Free. All the ASK team relays won medals as well.

The youngest swimmers among all of the teams, our JV boys’ team was awarded with the Sportsmanship award. Musaed Al Hashash and Adam Nasr swam really well and got 4rd places in their events. Very good performance for the newest member in the team, Stina Wistrom, who also finished 4th in few events.
